Hybrid Auto Repair

Maintenance and the consequences of non-maintence on hybrids are different and linked to the economy and a key factor in its mileage costs. True that overall maintenance on a hybrid is many times less than a conventional vehicle, but lack of maintenance can be costly

A hybrids running largely on their gasoline engines means a hybrid vehicle owner will have to abide to a similar maintenance schedule to fully gasoline-powered vehicles. Oil/filter changes and other routine checks remain important but may be undertaken at longer intervals since the gas engine is relieved by the electric powerplant.

Flash Reprogramming

Why Reprogram?

Gas mileage is at the top of the concerns list these days.

PCMs may need to be reprogrammed for several reasons. One is to fix factory bugs. Every time Bill Gates rushes yet another version of Windows to market to perpetuate the Microsoft revenue stream, it always turns out to have bugs and security holes that were somehow missed but must be fixed by downloading and installing the latest Windows "service pack." It’s a never-ending cycle of upgrades and patches. Fortunately, it isn’t that bad yet with automotive PCMs, but it has become a crutch for automakers who rush products to market that aren’t quite ready. This philosophy of "build it now and fix it later" creates a lot of unnecessary recalls, but at least it gives technicians a way to fix factory mistakes without having to replace any parts.

Flash – re-flash Special, no charge check for prom flash

We have found that an average of 70% of GM - Ford - and Chrysler vehicles need a flash update, Many Toyota, Honda, and Subarus are also found to need update

$175 for update, $35 for license (some types of vehicles excluded)

Coolant Exchange

A coolant exchange is basic maintenance for your cooling system, and will help ensure maximum performance from your car's heating and cooling systems. Factory recommended method protects against coolant contamination protects against cooling system leaks Our Trained Technicians operating a state of the art Machine will - exchange your car's cooling system fluids removing rust, scale and sludge. This service protects your system by removing impurities, rust and sludge. Radiators are types of heat exchangers designed to transfer thermal energy from one medium to another for the purpose of cooling and heating. The majority of radiators are constructed to function in automobiles. In automobiles with a liquid-cooled internal combustion engine a radiator is connected to channels running through the engine and cylinder head, through which a liquid (coolant) is pumped. This liquid is typically a half-and-half mixture of water and ethylene glycol or propylene glycol (with a small amount of corrosion inhibitor) known as antifreeze.

The radiator transfers the heat from the fluid inside to the air outside, thereby cooling the engine. Radiators are generally mounted in a position where they will receive airflow from the forward movement of the vehicle such as behind the grill. It is extremely important to maintain the quality of coolant in your engine. Severe engine damage can be caused by overheating and this damage can happen with little warning due to the high temperatures your engine can produce. We highly recommend exchanging your cooling system at least every 30,000 miles.

Oil Change

To keep your engine running newer, longer, you need to keep up with your vehicle's most frequently needed service — an oil change. Mahneke carries a full line of synthetic blend and full synthetic oil. Synthetic and synthetic blends have been engineered to provide superior engine protection over longer durations compared to conventional bulk motor oils. We also use lubricants that are manufacturer specification required when applicable (sometimes at a slightly additional cost). This ensures your new car or the older vehicle you need continued reliability out of will provide it for years to come. Additionally we've made it easy to find the oil change priced to your ride's specific needs.

Changing your ride's crucial lubricant on a regular basis helps cover your vital engine parts and protects them from excessive friction and heat. The longer oil flows through your engine parts, the more it begins to thicken and becomes less effective against engine wear, damage and overall performance. If you didn't change your oil at all? You could see permanent engine damage that could require extensive repairs or replacement.
